The German-Polish poets steamer (Polish: ''Statek Literacki'', German: ''Deutsh-Polnischer Poetendampfer'') ran under the skipper Hans Häußler with German and Polish writers of 1995 to 1999 annually every 10 days in September between Szczecin and Görlitz/Breslau.

Within the "Poland Planes" the chairman of German Writers Association Erich Loest there was in Saxony and others the project "word lust" in Brandenburg was the German-Polish poets steamer founded by NGL (New Society of Literature Berlin), RBB (Radio Brandenburg) and the Polish Writers' Union〔Gazeta Wyborcza, Magda Podsiadly "Poeci na wodzie "4.9.1998〕〔Wieczór Wrocławia, 4.9.1998 "Rejs po Odrze - statek jako metafora"〕 under the skipper Hans Haussler.〔(Boheme & Bohemians: Hans Haussler poets steamer captain )〕
